Some News

This blog is something that I wanted to have fun with and document our lives. Kind of like a journal of some kind. I didn't realize how busy we would be in this first year.

But I will continue to try.

I'm excited to report that the Olsens have moved! We were living in Provo and if you know me or my husband, we are not city people. It was not for us that's for sure.

We are in Spanish Fork now and I absolutely LOVE it. We are in another basement apartment it's twice the size and we now have ceilings that I can't touch. My drive is quite a bit longer now but I guess that's ok.

Some other Bing changes:

In two weeks I will be transferring to a new esthetics school I'm super excited about it! I may have wrote this already but, charles got a new job and he is much happier an  I am so proud of him. Lastly, I have been working as a distributed for Doterra. It's a product that I use in my life everyday and I stand behind its a great opportunity.

well here is to a great future and hopefully more writing.
Xoxo

we got a new place in Spanish Fork but cant move in until our place now gets sold.
charles got a new job that is the greatest blessing.
im working to make some money with Doterra.

its nothing too exciting but it is one great life and i never want it to end.

Im a Big Kid Now.

well i am now ready to reveal the big news that i promised

I knew that i needed to get a career and not another job. so i thought about what i love and of coarse its special education, but i am VERY bad at academics (math, history etc.) and i dont want to go back to school.. so i decided to go to the other thing that i love and have thought about for a very long time. i actually applied and got enrolled into esthetics school and a week before the class started i backed out.

after a lot of thought and prayer, and council from my amazing husband, i am starting Marinellos esthetics!! i start on tuesday and i am so excited!

i went back and forth with another school, and it is more money but i felt in my soul that Marinellos is the right choice for me.

Charles has been so supportive about the whole change in our life and i am so unbelievably grateful to be married to a man that does so much for me and our life. our life is about to get stressful, but it will be so much better in a year. we are so blessed and im so happy to be where i am.

Call Me Green Monster

so lately (the last 6 months) i have noticed that my pants are too tight and my thighs rub holes in my pants.
its time to do something about it.

when i feel like being more healthy this recipe never lets me down.
i tried so many green monsters and i never could find one i liked until this one.
it tastes like a dessert i promise!

so first, add a handful of spinach
dont be scared!

next add a small spoon of peanut butter (i like he jif natural because its still a little sweet)

then about 3 spoons of honey greek yogurt

about 5 slices of frozen banana

then add vanilla almond milk... i just guestimate. enough to make it go round.

blend till silky and mouthwatering.

from what i hear its best for you to "drink your dinner" and this is definitely not a bad way to do it.
let me know what you think!

The Day of Mothers

i love my mom more than anything
being married i have realized even more all that she has done for me.
she taught me to never give up,
to always put the lord first in everything you do,

she is a strong woman who has done so much for me and my family.
she provided for us and never complained.
she is my best friend and i wouldnt want anyone else as my mother.

i know that i didnt always show my appreciation when i was growing up
and i hope that through the rest of my life i can make it up to her.

i love you mom.

Chicken A La Gloria

I promised some cooking on this blog and it has finally arrived!
i did some cooking before, but not blog worthy.
ya know, fried chicken, salad, etc.

however, i made a kick ass raw veggie salad that was simply delish.
but tonight,
i got adventurous
i absolutely love to try out new recipes, im a huge pinterest foody (who isnt) and also i love to look around on food blogs.

this recipes credit goes to Arlene "Sugar" and i definitely will be making many it more times. it is cheap super easy and SO GOOD!

alright sorry on to the recipe.

Start by trimming your chicken breasts and cut them length wise.
Season with salt and pepper then coat them flour.
Brown both sides of the chicken but you dont need to worry about cooking it all the way through it will finish in the oven.
Put the chicken in a 9 by 13 baking dish and set aside.

Melt butter in the same pan and add the mushrooms. season them with salt and pepper (i also did parsley)

Once the mushrooms are golden brown add the sherry wine and let it cook out, 2-3 minutes. (i used a red sherry wine but i want to try white next time to see the difference, her recipe doesnt specify what she uses) then add the mushroom soup and milk and let simmer till its a nice brown sauce, another couple minutes.

Pour your sauce over the chicken, cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

When the time is up, take out and put your cheese on top of the chicken and broil for 2 minutes.

Your mouth is now ready to consume.

The sauce is so good i could eat it with a spoon (i did)

Fair warning though your house is going to smell like booze for a while but its worth it believe me. We made rice to go with it, im not a huge fan of rice with gravy but my husband insisted.

Let me know what you guys think because i have never blogged about food before so i need feedback!

Shopping List

3 skinless boneless chicken breasts
8oz sliced mushrooms
2-3 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup sherry wine
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup whole milk
provolone cheese (she uses muenster)
parsley (i used dried)

Sorry i took step by step pictures but i cant get them to up load :( so i used Sugars but i promise it looked just the same.

Spending Stresses Me

Yesterday morning i went to the salon for a change.

it was a little different then what i planed but i love it actually.

Then we decided to go to Olive Garden for our last time eating out
(its become way too regular)

Then next we went to Bed Bath and Beyond for a duvet cover because white is a terrible color to sleep on.. dont do it unless you shower twice a day and wash the bedding every other day.

It is so great! its got lots of colors. teal, red, yellow, grey etc. it will go great with anything.

But then, like always, it happened.
i absolutely hate to spend money. it makes me anxious and overwhelmed.
even though we have been using gift cards and wedding money to buy everything i still feel like throwing up or crying. (i usually just cry)
it drives Charles crazy and i am trying so hard to not be a stupid girl.

so once the crying started, my dear sweet husband said that he was going to go out for an hour  and he wanted me to do whatever i had to do to stop crying and be happy, and when he came back we were going to have a great rest of our Saturday.

So he left, i cried, then cleaned, ate my left over pasta, and was happy.
but not as happy as when he came back home with my favorite treat in the whole world.

A Kneaders fruit tart and daisies. i have the best husband ever!

Oh, i also left out something important that added to the spending.
We got our gym passes, its a good thing dont get me wrong we need them. i just struggle with the cost of them.
im sure i will keep mine for 3 months and then get rid of it.

so let me hear your opinion,
am i crazy??

P.S. if you follow me on instagram, sorry that you have already seen all these pictures i will start using my camera to take pictures.
